iPhone 15 Pro expected to adopt Wi-Fi 6E

Apple is rumored to be adopting the Wi-Fi 6E standard on the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, with a leaked production document from Unknownz21 (@URedditor) seemingly confirming that the standard iPhone 15 series will continue to use Wi-Fi 6, like the iPhone 11 and newer.

Wi-Fi 6E uses the 6GHz wireless band for faster speeds and lower latencies compared to Wi-Fi 6 and earlier iterations. Currently, Wi-Fi 6E support has been introduced by Apple with the M2 iPad Pro, new Mac mini and updated MacBook Pro models, with the iPhone 15 Pro series set to be the first iPhone to adopt the new standard.

The leak, via MacRumors, outlines the antenna design changes between the ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ and ‌iPhone 15‌ Pro, with the leaker allegedly providing “additional documentation indicating that Wi-Fi 6E will be a Pro only feature.”
