watchOS 9.2 available now with new features, improvements, and bug fixes

Apple has released watchOS 9.2, bringing new features, improvements, and bug fixes to the Apple Watch, including Crash Detection optimizations, a new custom Kickboxing algorithm in the Workout app, accessibility support to visualize when Siren is in use on Apple Watch Ultra, and more.

With watchOS 9.2, Apple has added a new feature for Outdoor Run workouts which automatically detects when a user arrives at a running track and provides track specific metrics, and Race Route challenges users to compete against their previous performance in Outdoor Run, Outdoor Cycle, and Outdoor Wheelchair Workouts.

The update, which is available now for all models compatible with watchOS 9, fixes a bug that could cause display of incorrect watch time immediately after dismissing an alarm in Sleep Focus, and a fix for a bug causing interruptions to mindfulness sessions.

watchOS 9.2 allows Apple Card users with a Savings account to check their balance in Wallet, and Family Setup users can now be invited to the Home app to control HomePod speakers and smart home accessories, and unlock doors with home keys in Wallet.
