Here’s what’s new with iOS 16.0.3

Apple released iOS 16.0.3 on Monday, a bug-fixing update that seeks to address issues and provide improvements for the iPhone.

With the update now available over-the-air, which can be downloaded by opening the Settings app, tapping General and selecting Software Update, Apple has provided release notes for iOS 16.0.3, sharing what’s new with the latest update for the iPhone.

According to Apple, iOS 16.0.3 provides bug fixes and important security updates including the following:

  • Incoming call and app notifications may be delayed or not delivered on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • Low microphone volume can occur during CarPlay phone calls on iPhone 14 models
  • Camera may be slow to launch or switch between modes on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • Mail crashes on launch after receiving a malformed email

The update follows after Apple released iOS 16.0.2 late last month, bringing bug fixes and security updates to iPhone including a fix for an issue that could cause the iPhone 14 Pro camera to start to shake and make a rattling sound in some third-party apps, a patch for an annoying pop-up that persistently showed users a clipboard paste permissions prompt each time they try to paste text from another app, and more.
