Apple is introducing Action mode with all four new iPhone 14 models, a new gimbal-like feature described as offering smooth-looking video that adjusts to significant shakes, motion, and vibrations.
The new stabilization feature reduces motion while recording video to offer smooth video playback so that when a video is recorded on the go or where the camera isn’t still, the recording won’t show significant shakes or vibrations.
Ahead of the release of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro on Friday, reporter Rich DeMuro was able to try Action mode at Apple’s ‘Far out’ special event, putting the feature to the test with a demo at the Steve Jobs Theater.
