Apple’s new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are now available to pre-order ahead of deliveries and in-store availability beginning next week on Friday, September 16.

The two new devices were announced at Apple’s ‘Far out’ special event on Wednesday, featuring an all-new Always-On display, the first-ever 48MP camera on iPhone, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS via satellite, and a new way to receive notifications and activities with the “Dynamic Island,” which replaces the notch found on previous iPhone models, and more.

Available through Apple.com and the Apple Store app, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are now available to pre-order, with the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 available from $999 (US) and the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max available from $1,099 (US). The new devices are available in deep purple, silver, gold, and space black finishes in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities.

One of the most notable changes with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is the introduction of the Dynamic Island, which is Apple’s name for the pill-shape cutout at the top of the device’s display. Apple has enhanced iOS 16 to work with the Dynamic Island, creating an area where users can access controls with a tap-and-hold. Ongoing background activities like Maps, Music, or a timer remain visible and interactive within the island, and third-party apps in iOS 16 that provide information like sports scores and ride-sharing with Live Activities can take advantage of the Dynamic Island, says Apple.

With the new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max now available, Apple has added the previous-generation iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max to the Apple Trade In program, offering up to $600 and $720, respectively for the used hardware.
