Apple has removed the first-generation Apple Watch SE from the online Apple Store, discontinuing the wearable after announcing the second-generation Apple Watch SE today at its ‘Far out’ special event.

The first-generation Apple Watch SE was released in 2020, launching as an entry-level device targeted toward first-time Apple Watch users, offering a 30% larger display compared to the Apple Watch Series 3, high and low heart rate notifications, irregular heart rhythm notifications, and an aluminum case offered in Space Gray, Silver and Gold finishes.

Despite the wearables being discontinued by Apple today, shoppers will likely still find the first-generation Apple Watch SE at third-party retailers.
