Apple Store down ahead of ‘Far out’ special event

Apple has pulled the online Apple Store offline ahead of today’s ‘Far out’ special event, where the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE 2, and all-new “Apple Watch Pro” are expected to be announced.

The event, which kicks off at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT), will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater and host a live audience of members of the media for the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the event scheduled to last around two hours, likely comprising of on-stage and pre-recorded elements.

Apple typically pulls the online Apple Store offline ahead of special events to prepare the digital storefront to display the new products that will be announced soon. In addition to the hardware, Apple will likely release a range of new accessories for this year’s new iPhone and Apple Watch models, as well as new AppleCare+ plans and iPhone Upgrade Program information.
