iPhone 14 CAD renders show iPhone 13-style design with same-sized notch

After purported iPhone 14 Pro 3D CAD renders surfaced online earlier this week, showing Apple’s rumored new pill-shape and circular display cutouts to house the device’s Face ID components and front-facing camera module in replacement of the notch, MySmartPrice has today shared alleged CAD renders for the standard iPhone 14, showing a similar design to the iPhone 13 it will replace.

As shown in the renders, the regular iPhone 14 is expected to retain the same overall design as the iPhone 13, featuring a diagonal camera layout with two lenses and a flat square-edge design. According to reports, the iPhone 14 will have the regular notch at the top of the display, unlike the iPhone 14 which is said to use new pill-shape and circular cutouts for a more nonintrusive, all-screen look.

Apple is expected to kill off the 5.4-inch ‘mini’ iPhone this year with the iPhone 14, with rumors suggesting Apple will fill the gap in the lineup with a 6.7-inch non-Pro device, offering a larger non-Pro iPhone to give customers who want a large iPhone display the option to upgrade to one without having to pay for the high-end “Pro Max.”

With this in mind, presumably the new 6.7-inch standard iPhone will feature the same design as the shown in today’s new CAD renders.

It was reported in late February that trusted Apple supplier Foxconn has started trial production of the iPhone 14, suggesting the company has now finalized the design of this year’s new iPhone model and is preparing factories for mass production later this year, ahead of the device’s launch in fall.
