Apple has released iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3, fixing a recently discovered Safari bug that could leak a users’ browsing history and Google ID to websites that use the IndexedDB JavaScript API to see the URLs recently visited by a user, first spotted this month in a blog post from FingerprintJS.

Available now for iPhone and iPad, beta testing of iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 hasn’t revealed any significant new features, suggesting that today’s updates are mainly system improvements to better the experience on both devices.

Today’s new update follows after the release of iOS 15.2.1 earlier this month, one month after iOS 15.2 introduced Communication Safety in Messages, a new Macro photo control for the iPhone 13 Pro, App Privacy Reports in Settings to see how often apps have accessed location, photos, camera, microphone, and contacts, the new Apple Music Voice Plan, a subscription tier that provides access to music using Siri, and more.

As we all begin to install the public versions of iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 it will soon come to light if any new features have been added which weren’t included in the beta cycle. Apple is yet to release Universal Control and support for IDs in the Wallet app, yet there has been no word on when they will arrive.
