Apple touts Wallet, Apple Pay, and Apple Cash on new webpages

Apple is promoting Apple Cash, and the Wallet app on iPhone in two new webpages on Apple.com, each highlighting the various features of the services, such as Apple Pay now being accepted at 85 percent of retailers in the U.S., the service’s built-in privacy and security, and more.

The webpages show facts, how-to guides, FAQs, and explanations on how Apple keeps data private and secure.

The Wallet webpage highlights how the app can store everything from credit and debit cards to transit cards, boarding passes, tickets, gift vouchers, and more — all in one place. Universities such as Duke University in North Carolina are showcased for bringing student IDs to the Wallet app, and BMW for its digital car key feature.

The Apple Cash page introduces the simple and secure way to spend money with your iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad. Users can send money via iMessage, or simply by asking Siri to send money to a contact. Apple Cash can be used to make purchases just as you would with physical cards and cash. It works anywhere Apple Pay is accepted — in stores, online, and in apps. Users can also transfer Apple Cash to their bank account.

With Apple Card and Apple Cash being limited to the United States, the new websites are only shown on Apple’s main webpage and not its country-specific sites, such as Apple.com/UK, for example.
