Apple adds Apple News+ to its affiliate partner program

Apple on Monday added Apple News+ to its Apple Services Performance Partners Program, which pays a commission to websites and apps on subscription referrals.

The affiliate program will pay a one-time bonus of 400% based on the local market rate to incentivise publishers to promote Apple News+ through links and ad placements.

Apple’s affiliate program pays publishers for qualifying Apple Music subscription referrals, movies, tv shows, books, audiobooks purchases, and more. The program stopped offering commissions for App Store purchases in 2018, which paid a 7 percent affiliate rate for in-app purchases and new app downloads.

We are excited to announce the launch of our latest affiliate program — Apple News+. This is a great new way to earn added commission by linking to a new Apple Service, says Apple. Apple News+ pays a one-time bounty of 400% on paid membership based on the local market rate. For example, after the 30-day trial partners will be paid $39.99 per membership in the US and £39.99 per membership in the UK.

Apple News+ is available to users in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, priced at $9.99 per month.
