Apple’s rumored new ‘AirPods Studio’ over-ear headphones may not launch until November, according to an anonymous source cited by leaker Jon Prosser.

Prosser claims that he’s been told “AirPods Studio mass production isn’t complete until October 20th,” which could mean the headphones may not be announced next week as previously rumored at Apple’s highly anticipated “Hi, Speed” special event, set to see the introduction of the iPhone 12, and more.

Leaked images offered our first glimpse at the Beats-style headphones last month, allegedly showing the Sport variant of the upcoming AirPods, which as said to be priced from $349.

Prosser notes that while the ‘AirPods Studio’ headphones may not be released straightaway, Apple may continue to announce them next week, and hold their release until later in the month or November, possibly at a separate event for the introduction of new ARM Mac models.

Reports from Bloomberg have suggested Apple will release two versions of its new headphones: a high-end model with “leather-like fabrics” and a “fitness-focused” model designed to be worn comfortably during workouts.
