iOS 14 installed on over 25% of devices just five days after release

iOS 14 adoption has already surpassed 25% of active iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, just five days after release, according to mobile analytics research firm Mixpanel.

The data suggests iOS 14 adoption has outpaced iOS 13, which five days after release in 2019 was installed on roughly 20% of compatible devices, compared to the data collected by Mixpanel (via MacRumors) that shows iOS 14/iPad OS 14 adoption at almost 27% just five days after launching.

Apple hasn’t yet confirmed any adoption data for iOS 14, with Mixpanel measuring adoption based on visits to websites and apps that use its mobile analytics SDKs.

iOS 14 brings the biggest refresh ever to the Home Screen, including redesigned widgets, an App Library that automatically organizes all of a user’s apps into one simple view, several enhancements to Messages, new App Clips, and more.
