Unreleased Powerbeats 4 appear in Walmart ahead of official launch

Apple’s unreleased Powerbeats 4 have been spotted on store shelves ahead of their official unveiling.

It has long been known that Apple is working on the Powerbeats 4. Code referencing the earphones was discovered at the end of 2019, and most recently FCC filings showed an illustration of the new Powerbeats in February, offering a firm confirmation the products were being readied for launch.

Shopper Eddie Wap spotted the earphones in his local Walmart at Rochester, New York. The new Powerbeats are shown in red, white and black color options.

The packaging of the Powerbeats 4 confirms the earphones will feature a 15 hour battery life, with rumors speculating the new Powerbeats will use the Apple H1 chip, enabling “Hey Siri” support and Announce Messages with Siri, in addition to lower latency.

Apple is said to be releasing an updated MacBook Air as soon as next week, so it is likely the Powerbeats 4 will be officially launched at the same time.
