Apple releases iOS 13.3.1 with privacy improvements and bug fixes

Apple has released iOS 13.3.1 with privacy improvements and bug fixes, including a new toggle switch, allowing users to disable the Ultra Wideband chip introduced with the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro after it emerged the chip was logging device locations, even when all the location service options were disabled.

The update addresses an issue with Mail that could cause remote images to load even when the ‘Load Remote Images’ setting is disabled and also resolves an issue where push notifications could fail to be delivered over Wi-Fi.

  • Fixes an issue in Communication Limits that could allow a contact to be added without entering the Screen Time passcode
  • Addresses an issue with Mail that could cause remote images to load even when the ‘Load Remote Images’ setting is disabled
  • Fixes an issue that could cause multiple undo dialogs to appear in Mail
  • Resolves an issue where push notifications could fail to be delivered over Wi-Fi
  • Introduces support for Indian English Siri voices for HomePod

The update is believed to also fix cellular issues plaguing iPhone XR users in the United Kingdom on the O2 network.
