Apple to launch five new iPhone models in 2020, claims Kuo

Apple will launch five new iPhone models in 2020, according to reliable industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo’s latest report predicts Apple will release its rumored iPhone SE 2 with an iPhone 8-design and 4.7-inch display in the first half of 2020, followed by a higher-end lineup of one 5.4-inch iPhone, two 6.1-inch iPhones, and one 6.7-inch iPhone in the second half of next year.

Apple’s four high-end iPhone models are set to gain the Qualcomm X55 modem and support 5G —with specific bands of support dependent on the country, with the iPhone 12 models sold in the US, Canada, Japan, Korea, and the UK having Sub-6G+mmWave functions.

Kuo adds that in 2021 with the release of the “iPhone 13”, Apple will ditch the Lightning port, and provide a “completely wireless experience.” to customers.
