Apple is giving new Apple News+ subscribers in the U.S. and Canada an extended 3-month free trial of the service when signing up this weekend only, offering an additional two months free during the trial period than it has done previously.
“This weekend only, get a 3 month free trial of Apple News+ and enjoy full access to hundreds of magazines and leading newspapers,” said Apple within an update to its App Store listing for the News app.
Apple News+ is now available in the U.S., Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom, although the News app in the latter two countries continue to offer a 1-month free trial of the service.
Apple is reportedly working to improve Apple News+, according to reports that claim publishers are unhappy with the revenue generated by the platform who call it an ‘unfinished’ product.
