Apple opens new Apple Antara retail store in Mexico City

Apple has opened its second store in Mexico, welcoming thousands of visitors through the 23-foot-tall sliding glass doors that open the store up to Mexico City’s vibrant Polanco district.

Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People celebrated the grand opening with over 100 new Apple Store employees, all of which were on hand as customers flocked to use the latest Apple products, including iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max and Apple Watch Series 5, all of which were on display.

Apple Antara is the first Apple Store of its kind in Latin America. The store, like Apple’s more than 500 other locations across the globe, will host creative Today at Apple sessions lead by store employees and local influencers, such as musicians and artists. Mexican illustrator and muralist, Edgar Flores, hosted the first Today at Apple session at Apple Antara, creating a communal art piece.
