Exclusive: Apple confirms Apple News+ “Coming Soon” in the UK and Australia, now showing in News app on iOS 13.1 beta 4

Exclusive: Ahead of the official release of iOS 13.1 on Tuesday, Apple has updated its Apple News webpage in the United Kingdom and Australia to promote that Apple News+, its pay-monthly magazine and newspaper subscription service is “Coming Soon”, with users running the latest iOS and iPadOS betas reporting seeing an Apple News+ page within the News app on iPhone and iPad.

A check of website update history tracker Wayback Machine shows Apple updated its Apple News webpage in the U.K. and Australia a day after the ‘By innovation only’ event on September 10, with a new bright pink banner appearing to promote Apple News+ with the tagline “The world’s leading magazines and newspapers. All in one subscription.” in the U.K. and “Full access to hundreds of magazines and leading newspapers.” in Australia.

Confirmed by The Apple Post’s own Brandon Bourne, the latest iOS 13.1 beta 4 is showing a new Apple News+ tab, banner and splash-screen within the News app.

Apple News+ launched in the U.S. and Canada at the beginning of the year, with Apple at the time promising an expansion to Australia and the U.K. “later this year.” Apple News+ is priced at $9.99/$12.99 CAD per-month and can be shared with Family Sharing for no additional fee.

With the release of iOS 13.1 and iPadOS nearing, we could see Apple News+ roll out officially as soon as Tuesday.
