Apple announces iPhone 11, featuring new colors and dual camera system, priced from $699

Apple has announced the new iPhone 11. It features a new camera design at the back, and brand new colours: Purple, White, Yellow, Green, Black and PRODUCT(RED). It features a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina display.

It comes with immersive sound, and Dolby Atmos, improving the sound quality of the iPhones speaker system.

The new phone has a dual camera set up, that allows you to take wide, and ultra wide pictures. There is a new ‘immersive’ camera interface in iOS, that shows you what else can be included in the picture when you use the wide angle version.

The next generation of Smart HDR allows photos to be more colour correct, and detailed when taking portraits. You can now take portraits of pets, not just people. High Key mono adds to the line up of great new Portrait Lighting modes.

Night Mode, helps pictures taken in dimly lit places, or at night, to have more detail and light in the picture. The example show saw a nearly black image, compared to one with Night Mode, where the entire scene was now visible.

Videos get an improvement, with enhanced 4K cinematic shots, and they also get the new Ultra Wide mode that comes with the pictures. Quick Take is a feature that allows you to hold the shutter button and switching it to video mode, straight from the image capture window.

The front camera is now a 12mp wide image camera, and adopts new 4K video and slo mo video.

Performance has been improved, with a new A13 Bionic chip. CPU Performance in the new iPhone is the fastest in a smartphone. GPU performance is also the fastest in the industry, sporting greatly enhanced graphics.

Battery life has been improved, with one additional hour then the iPhone XR last year.

Other features include faster Face ID and wireless charging, tougher glass and more. It will be priced at $699.
