In recent years this suggestion of name has not been uncommon in the world of iPhone leaks, with the X being often called the premium ‘Pro’ phone, and not the X. Then when it came to the XS and XS Max, and XR, it was said that the XR would be what it is today, and the XS and XS Max would be Pro. So it comes to the time for the iPhone XI… or Pro?
This time, a top twitter leaker suggests that the next iPhone XR, will simply be named ‘iPhone’, and the triple camera XI and XI Max will be Pro.
If this lends itself to be true, this will be the first time the iPhone has ever used the Pro suffix on its products, with the iPad and Mac lines receiving the ‘Pro’ naming system. In this case, it would allow Apple to bring more naming harmony to their products, as for the iPhone ‘Pro’ features coming, there have been a steady stream of leaks to suggest what the Pro phone will look like.
It will feature mainly internal upgrades, with a focus on the camera system, the Pro phone gaining a triple lens camera and a new square camera hump on the back of the phone.
Which features will be made into the ‘Pro’ phone and left from the plain ‘iPhone’? Only Apple knows, and we do not even know if Apple will change the naming scheme this way. Who knows, we have to wait and see when they launch them in September, alongside a slew of brand new services, and OS upgrades with iOS 13 and macOS Catalina.
