During a live session following the announcement that Apple brought $53.8 billion of revenue and $10.04 billion profit during the third fiscal quarter of 2019, Tim Cook has announced that Apple Pay is now completing nearly 1 billion transactions per-month, more than 2x volume from a year ago.
Additionally, Cook confirmed that following thousands of Apple employees beta testing Apple Card, the service will go live in the United States in August.
Cook claims Apple Pay is now adding more new users than PayPal, and monthly transaction volume is growing four times as fast, with the service now available in 47 markets around the world.
