Apple Pay launches in Austria, supported by Erste Bank und Sparkasse and N26

Apple has officially launched Apple Pay to customers in Austria, with the service now supported by the country’s largest bank Erste Bank und Sparkasse, as well as German-based mobile banking service N26.

Apple notes that additional Apple Pay partners are “coming soon”, including Bank Austria, Boon, Edenred, Revolut and VIMPay.

Apple Pay first launched in the United States in October 2014, and has since expanded to many other countries, such as the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, China, Singapore, Switzerland, France, Japan, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Russia, New Zealand, Brazil, Poland, Ireland, and Ukraine.
