Reports claim Apple is planning an all-new 4.7-inch iPhone to launch in March 2020, featuring a similar design to the one found on the iPhone 8, an A13 chip, a single-lens rear camera, and a 128GB storage option priced at $650.00.
According to the Economic Daily News, the new device will include a Touch ID home button, much like the newly introduced iPad Air and refreshed iPad mini which launched last month.
Citing sources from Taiwan-based Fubon Securities Investment Trust, EDN claims the 4.7-inch handset will be introduced to help boost Apple’s share of the mid-level smartphone market, where it has lost out to Chinese rivals such as Oppo and Vivo.
Its unclear whether the model will launch exclusively in developing markets such as India and China, or if Apple will release the model globally.
