AppleCare+ for the newly announced 10.5-inch iPad Air and refreshed iPad mini is priced at $69, significantly less than AppleCare+ for the Face ID-equipped iPad Pro models which remain priced at $129.00.
Purchasing AppleCare+ allows owners of the new 10.5-inch iPad Air or iPad mini to extend the warranty period to two years from the original purchase date of the device, and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a service fee of $49.
Apple also includes accidental damage to the Apple Pencil for up to two years with a $29 fee plus tax per incident.
Those wishing to pay monthly for AppleCare+ can do so with monthly payments of $3.49 for up to 24 months. The policy must be added within 60 days of purchasing a device.
