Apple shares new ‘Alejandro’ ad promoting Portrait Mode Depth Control on iPhone XS and iPhone XR

Apple has released another humorous ad promoting Depth Control on the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.

The ad shows a couple return home following a day out. Flicking through his phone the man shows the woman a photo he took of her earlier that day, and the woman points out her coworker Alejandro in the background of the shot. The man, who appears to be jealous, uses Depth Control on his iPhone XR to blur out Alejandro’s face from the image.

Apple says “Depth Control on iPhone XS and iPhone XR lets you adjust the depth of field before or after you shoot. So you can blur out whoever’s in the background, to get your portraits just right.”

The new ‘Alejandro’ ad follows shortly after the release of Bokeh’d’, another funny Depth Control ad that showed a group of mothers bickering after one parent used Depth Control on iPhone to blur a child out of a picture.
