Does AppleCare+ cover theft and loss in the UK?

Alongside the introduction of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR in September, Apple widened its AppleCare+ warranty program giving customers the option to pay and upgrade their AppleCare+ warranty to include Theft and Loss coverage.

While AppleCare+ is included within the cost of the monthly iPhone Upgrade Program as standard, customers have to additionally pay to upgrade their coverage to include Theft and Loss. The price for this insurance including the Theft and Loss coverage depends on the cost of the phone, but all the options are pricey. It’s $299 for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

The policy must be bought alongside the purchase of the iPhone and covers users for two years and up to two incidents of “accidental damage, theft, or loss coverage.” – The policy can be applied to devices on Apple’s iPhone Upgrade Program or those purchased outright.

Does AppleCare+ cover theft and loss in the UK?

Apple doesn’t offer AppleCare+ coverage for Theft and Loss in the UK, with the warranty program upgrade remaining exclusive to customers in the United States. Hopefully over time the Apple Theft and Loss coverage will expand into the United Kingdom, possibly alongside the launch of the next generation iPhone.
