Apple and Amazon strike deal to directly sell more products, including iPhone, iPad and Beats

Apple and Amazon are said to have reached an agreement which will see the online retail giant directly sell more Apple products, including iPhone, iPad and its range of Beats headphones in the United States, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, and India, reports CNET.

Soon you’ll be able to buy Apple’s latest products directly from Amazon rather than buying from a third-party on Amazon’s marketplace. The report notes products such as the new 2018 iPad Pro models, the iPhone XR, the iPhone XS and XS Max, Apple Watch Series 4 models, the 2018 Mac mini, and a selection of Beats headphones will all be up for sale.

According to the report, Amazon won’t sell Apple’s full range of products, including HomePod which is a direct competitor to Amazon’s line of Echo smart speaker devices.

Amazon is constantly working to enhance the customer experience, and one of the ways we do this is by increasing selection of the products we know customers want – an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement Friday morning. – We look forward to expanding our assortment of Apple and Beats products globally.

Independent sellers who list Apple products through Amazon currently will see their listings removed after January 4, 2019, under the new deal.
