Apple opens redesigned Covent Garden Apple Store in London

Apple has officially reopened its flagship Covent Garden Apple Store following the closure of the location in June, unveiling a fully redesigned store layout featuring large in-door trees, sequoia wood tables and matching wooden shelves along the walls, new seating for personal set-up and Genius Bar customers as well as a large Today at Apple display.

Like other “next-generation” Apple retail locations such as the renovated Regent Street store in London, Apple has installed bright light boxes which extend the length of the ceiling, powered on 100% renewable energy as Apple does with all of its global operations, including retail stores, offices, data centres, and more.

Located in the upmarket West End of London, Apple Covent Garden was once the “world’s largest” Apple Store when it first opened in July 2010. Designed by British born Apple design chief Sir Jonathan Ive in partnership with architects Foster+Partners, the new store is part of the company’s ongoing plans to turn each and every Apple Store across the world into a place people can meet, learn, shop and discover.

Apple hasn’t shared any official imagery of the new Covent Garden store as of yet, but those waiting in-line for the grand opening of the store such as Alex Brooks and Martyn Landi on Twitter have shared the above images of the location in all its glory.
