Following earlier reports that claimed Apple would kick-start 2018 iPhone pre-orders on Friday, September 14, French radio station Europe 1 has suggested Apple will host its annual fall iPhone event on Wednesday, September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater located at Apple Park.

Although Apple themselves haven’t confirmed a date as of yet for the highly anticipated fall iPhone event, September 12 does look to be the most likely date the company would choose to take to the stage given a number of factors.

Historically since 2012 Apple has always hosted their fall events in the first two weeks of September, and if the event was planned for the first week of September this year the press would have already received their invitations. – Apple has never hosted an iPhone event on Monday, Thursday, or Friday in the month of September. Always on Tuesday or Wednesday. September 12 falls on a Wednesday this year.

During its September event Apple is expected to introduce three new iPhone models including a new, “low-cost” 6.1-inch LCD device to replace the iPhone SE as well as AirPower, Apple Watch Series 4 models and much more. The Apple Post will be sharing the latest news from the event as it unfolds.
