Five new iPads and Macs registered by Apple in Eurasian database

Apple appears to be readying five new iPad and five new Mac models for release later this year according to new filings submitted to the Eurasian Economic Commission database as discovered by Consomac on Thursday.

The new Mac hardware has been registered with  model numbers A1931, A1932, A1988, A1989, A1990 and five new iPads with model numbers A1876, A2013, A1934, A1979, A2014. – The filings show the new hardware as running macOS High Sierra and iOS 11, hinting they could launch before macOS Mojave and iOS 12 are released alongside three new iPhone models in September.

Filings discovered in April suggested eleven new iPhone models were being processed by Apple in the database, however; no new iPhone hardware was released after the discovery.

Apple’s next iPad release is expected to feature a full edge-to-edge 11.9-inch display fitting in the same footprint as the current 10.5-inch iPad Pro. The tablet is expected to feature a glass backing, similar to the sleek design of the iPhone X.
