iOS 12 to work on iPhone 5s according to WebKit testing logs

As discovered within WebKit testing logs unearthed by MacGeneration, Apple is running versions of iOS 12 on an iPhone 5s simulator, hinting that the software could potentially launch on the ageing iPhone model once officially released to the public.

iOS 12 will be unveiled at Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June along with newer versions of watchOS, tvOS and macOS 10.14. – It’s been previously reported iOS 12 will likely focus on stability, performance and reliability of the software instead of adding a large amount of new features.

Reports have suggested Apple is working on new developer tools which will enable developers to design and engineer a single application that runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac devices, internally called project “Marzipan” which if true may debut at the conference, however, within a new interview Apple CEO Tim Cook denied that Apple would eventually fully merge iOS and macOS together.
