Apple Pay launching in Brazil tomorrow

Apple appears to be readying Apple Pay for launch in Brazil tomorrow with the App Store prematurely promoting the expansion of the service within a story shown on the Brazilian App Store earlier today.

The discovery was shared by iHelp BR writer Filipe Espósito who found an App Store story announcing the availability of the mobile payment service that noted “Apple Pay has arrived”, accompanied by a list of applications that will work with Apple Pay.

Tim Cook announced that Apple Pay would be expanding into Brazil during Q&A after Apple’s Q1 2018 earnings call in February, but since then no further details on the rollout have been discovered until now.

It’s unclear if Apple Pay Cash, Apple’s peer-to-peer payment service, will launch alongside the main rollout of Apple Pay tomorrow. Most recently Apple released ‘Fly Market’, a new ad focused around the convenience of using Apple Pay on the iPhone X.
