6.5-inch ‘iPhone X Plus’ to come in gold color option

According to a new report shared by Bloomberg on Monday, Apple may add a gold color option to their upcoming ‘iPhone X Plus’, making the X Plus Apple’s “largest iPhone ever” with a screen size close to 6.5 inches.

The ‘iPhone X Plus’ believed to have the internal codename “D33” will feature a screen resolution of 1242 x 2688 and potentially use a dual-SIM that would allow users to switch carriers when traveling with ease, however Bloomberg notes it’s not yet clear if the company will go ahead with the dual-SIM feature.

The Apple Post on Monday shared leaked images supposedly from within an LG display production facility in Vietnam which offered our first glimpse at Apple’s rumoured 6.5-inch ‘iPhone X Plus’.

Apple had reportedly intended to release a gold coloured iPhone X , however had to abandoned plans due to “production problems”, however Apple now is ready to bring the new color back with the launch of the ‘iPhone X Plus’.

Apple is considering a gold color option for the update to the iPhone X and the larger model. The company tried to develop gold for the current X handset, but abandoned it because of production problems.

Apple is expected to discontinue the iPhone X later this year when the company introduces their 2018 iPhone line rather than following the tradition of continuing to sell older devices for a reduced price.

The ‘iPhone X Plus’ will most likely launch alongside an updated iPhone X and a low-cost 6.1-inch iPhone with LCD display featuring a metal back much like the iPhone 7 and the True Depth Camera System for Face ID from the iPhone X.
