2nd gen iPhone SE to possibly feature glass back

For a while we’ve heard rumors of a refreshed iPhone SE that could bring us speed boosts and possibly pick up a few features from its more expensive siblings. According to “a very reliable source” Sachin Bhatt claims that the iPhone SE 2 will feature an all-glass back like the iPhone 8, 8+, and X instead of its current aluminum.

Apple first used the glass back on the iPhone 4 in 2010 and recently brought int back late last year on its latest models. This allowed iPhones for the first time ever to include wireless charging. This move could bring wireless charging to the 4-inch SE brining it up to date with the rest of the iPhone line.

Apple unveiled the SE about two years ago and aside from updating the storage capacities in 2017, the device hasn’t been touched since. Currently the handset sports the A9 chip used in the 2015 iPhone 6s. Other rumors claim that the SE 2 would include the A10 used in the iPhone 7. As of now the SE can still be purchased for $349 for 32GB and $449 for 128GB.
