After months of waiting, Amazon Prime Video has officially launched on the Apple TV App Store.
The app was originally announced at Apple’s World Wide Developer’s Conference in June this year, but both Apple and Amazon had remained tight-lipped on the exact launch date until today.
The video service originally launched in 2006, competing in the crowding streaming video market with other international services like Netflix and YouTube TV, as well as localised services like Stan and Foxtel Now in Australia.
The app brings Amazon original content to the big screen for Apple users, such as the new series of The Grand Tour, which also launches this week.
Amazon Prime is available to download on the App Store for Apple TV and iOS.
