Leaked images show iPhone X packaging ahead of release

iPhone X Packaging

With the official release of the iPhone X drawing closer, leaked images offer a glimpse at the device’s retail packaging before deliveries and in-store pickups begin on November 3rd.

Shared by leaker Benjamin Geskin on Twitter, the images don’t offer any unseen ground-breaking iPhone X revelations, however do share the two different types of box designs Apple will begin shipping later this week. It appears Apple will be shipping the Silver iPhone X in a box showing a pink/blue wallpaper, with the Space Gray counterpart with a green/orange backdrop.

At this stage its impossible to prove the authenticity of the packaging leaks, however given the source’s track record it’s a fairly safe bet that the devices shown in the images are genuine and are heading to an Apple Store near you.

iPhone X

The iPhone X, pronounced “iPhone Ten”, features a 5.8-inch Super Retina OLED edge-to-edge display with 2436 x 1125 resolution and 458ppi, HDR support, Dolby Vision, HDR10, and True Tone. The Home Button has been removed from the iPhone X, with Apple adding a new Tap to Wake feature which works alongside Raise to Wake.

iPhone X features the new A11 Bionic chip with a special neural engine that helps power Face ID which unlocks the device by taking a 3D scan of the users face. Apple says Face ID can’t be spoofed by photographs, masks, and makeup, and changing your actual appearance with a hat or beard or makeup won’t prevent Face ID from working.
