With construction of Apple’s 2.8 million-square-foot campus nearing completion, new drone footage shows contractors applying the finishing touches to the “spaceship” as Apple employees begin to occupy the building ahead of the official grand opening scheduled for later this year.
The new footage shows sports courts being built, adding to the on-site gym facilities already in place for Apple employees, along with paths being paved and more trees/shrubs being planted in and around the giant loop.
Once complete Apple Park will run on 100% renewable energy, with the 2.8 million-square-foot main building accessible to the public through Apple’s new visitors center that includes an on-site cafe and Apple Store.
