iOS 11 firmware shows new wallpapers for the OLED iPhone X

iOS 11 Wallpapers

With the date of Apple’s highly anticipated ‘Let’s meet at our place’ media event quickly approaching, iOS 11 firmware has uncovered new wallpapers for the OLED iPhone X, with the firmware pointing out a range of colourful backgrounds likely to make their debut next week.

As shown in the image above, via 9to5Mac, the new wallpapers include several renditions of the Apple six color retro logo, along with six new flower wallpapers, and three new space wallpapers, with a handful of the new wallpapers featuring small inky black backgrounds which would be perfect for OLED displays such as the ones rumored for the so-called “iPhone X” model.

The new iOS 11 firmware also appears to show a LTE connected watch with a new Digital Crown and watch face.

The new Apple Watch makes an appearance in the Watch app splash screen showing off a new red-accented digital crown, a signal meter, and complications that further hint at wireless LTE connectivity. Looking closely, you can see that the face looks to show iOS 10 style signal dots just above the small second hand. Other than that though, the design appears to strongly resemble last year’s Series 2.
