Model units show the iPhone 8’s ‘Copper Gold’ finish and larger display

Just as reports claim Apple has officially started mass production of the iPhone 8, new models shared by blogger Ben Miller offer a clearer look at the devices new ‘Copper Gold’ finish and larger display.

Apple’s new ‘Copper Gold’ finish is an amalgamation of Gold and Rose Gold, with KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo, dubbed the “best Apple analyst on the planet” by some, claiming Apple will launch the iPhone 8 in fewer colors than usual in an effort to maintain a “boutique” style of branding.

According to leaked dimensions coming from sources within Apple’s supply chain, it appears that the iPhone 8 will be smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus, yet larger than the iPhone 7, closely matching Samsung with the Galaxy S8. It’s believed this year’s iPhone release will see Apple introduce an all new device featuring a 5.8-inch display which will feature a “Function Area” that will be home to Apple’s virtual Home button that will support Touch ID through a fingerprint scanner embedded directly into the display.
