Report claims Apple may introduce an updated iPhone SE next month

According to a somewhat questionable report from French blog iGenerationApple may introduce an updated iPhone SE model as soon as next month, with an unnamed source claiming Apple will hold a product event in late August for the updated 4-inch iPhone.

One of the many things that raises eyebrows about this report is the lack of information being reported about the launch; previously  KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said it is unlikely Apple will update the iPhone SE line in early 2017 as Apple attempts to maintain high margins on its high-end iPhone models.

Apple most recently doubled the current iPhone SE’s storage capacities to 32GB and 128GB, up from 16GB and 64GB, leaving the device with the same 4-inch form factor and colour options. – While the device isn’t the newest, it received a customer satisfaction score of 87 out of 100 at the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).
