New images claim to show the final design of the iPhone 8 with a vertical camera module

According to new images from BGR that claim to show the final design of the iPhone 8, users can expect to see a repositioned vertical camera module, a stainless steel frame surrounding the device and a front and back glass body.

The supposed final design of the iPhone 8 shows Apple has increased the size of the sleep/wake button on the device as well as increasing the “camera bump” to accommodate the new vertical dual camera module that is said to support new augmented reality features and offer an LED flash, a microphone and the same optical zoom capability as the iPhone 7 Plus’ camera.

One thing lacking from the “iPhone 8” shown in the leaked images is Touch ID on the back of the device, hinting that Apple was able to overcome the obstacles faced when trying to implement the finger print scanning technology into the display of the upcoming handset.

Unfortunately, the new images don’t show the device powered on so it’s hard to tell whether or not the handset has an OLED display, or whether its screen is bigger than that of the iPhone 7. The images show that unlike current iPhones that use aluminium unibodies, the iPhone 8 shall feature a polished stainless steel frame similar to the stainless steel Apple Watch.
