Apple is said to be planning an iPad media event on 4th April, hosted at the Steve Jobs Theatre on the new Apple Park campus

A new report suggests Apple could be planning  an iPad media event on 4th April, with the company debuting their new range of iPad hardware at the Steve Jobs Theatre on the new Apple Park campus. The report comes from Apple World Today who claim that the new device would have “same day” availability following the announcement.

Apple recently announced that April would be when 12,000 staff members shall descend onto the new location, so the claims of the company choosing to use the Steve Jobs Theatre as the location of the media event doesn’t seem to be to far stretched. Apple’s new range of iPad hardware was first speculated to launch in March however, The Apple Post reported that Apple has pushed back the date after reports which cited industry sources backed up the rumours.

KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Quo has previously released notes reporting that Apple is preparing three new iPads to launch in spring, one of which being an all new mid-sized model with a screen-size of 10-to-10.5-inchs. – Ming-Chi Quo’s report wasn’t first time we’ve heard about Apple introducing an all new screen variation for the iPad, back in November Japanese website, Mac Otakara, released reports suggesting Apple’s 10-to-10.5-inch iPad model would launch without a physical Home Button and a new bezel-free design.

Perhaps Apple’s event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 4, meaning that the new device would have “same day” availability after an announcement. – This makes sense for one more reason as well. At Apple’s last event at 1 Infinite Loop, Tim Cook noted that it would be the last one at the current Apple headquarters. We now know that Apple Park is scheduled to open in April, 2017. It could be that Apple will have the reveal of the new iPad lineup in the 1,000-seat Steve Jobs Theatre onsite.
