Apple has officially announced their new retail store in Cologne, Germany will open later this month

After being under construction for over a year, Apple has officially announced that their second retail store in Cologne, Germany will open on Saturday 25th March, with the new store located in the high-traffic shopping district of Schildergasse, one of the busiest shopping districts in Europe.

According to french blog Apfelpage, Apple started a recruitment drive for its new retail store in Cologne, with Apple reportedly pulling employees from the city’s other store at the Rhein Centre. While Apple hasn’t released a mass amounts of information relating to the opening of the store, it’s likely the company will follow tradition and welcome visitors with limited edition Apple Store t-shirts and goodies.

Apple’s new Schildergasse store will more than likely adopt the Jony Ive inspired ‘next-generation’ store design which has made it’s way across the world, including in New York, San Francisco and London. At the beginning of February The Apple Post reported that as part of Apple’s Latin American expansion, the company is said to be preparing to open their first retail store in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the store scheduled to open during 2018.
