iOS 11 could bring the highly requested FaceTime Group calling feature we’ve all been awaiting

According to a report from Israeli blog The Verifier, Apple could be gearing up to launch FaceTime group calling within iOS 11, a feature many iOS users have been requesting pretty much since the launch of FaceTime in 2010.

Citing reports from “several people familiar with [the] iOS development process”, soon users will be able to host group FaceTime calls with up-to five members at a time. If the reports are genuine, it’s likely Apple will announce the feature during their annual World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) later this year which is where the company takes to the stage to reveal their next generation of software.

While the possibility of FaceTime Group calling is exciting, this is our first indication that the feature could finally be coming to iOS and as with all Apple rumours, this should be taken with a pinch of salt.
