WWDC registration has opened, with hopeful attendees given until Friday to reserve their place
After announcing the dates for their annual World Wide Developers Conference back in February, Apple has today opened their WWDC registration lottery, with hopeful attendees given until Friday to put their name forward for the event in June.
Apple’s WWDC ticketing system (often referred to as a lottery) picks developers at random to attend the event, not all are selected however the ones who do will receive an email from Apple after the registration period has ended and the ticket fee of $1,599 will be debited from their account.
WWDC 17 is where Apple is expected to unveil iOS 11, macOS 10.13 as well as updates to tvOS and watchOS. – This will be the first time WWDC will be in San Jose since 2002— the conference moved to San Francisco in 2003 and has continued to be hosted at the Moscone Center in San Francisco until now. – According to Schiller, WWDC 2017 will be about the same size as previous conferences—about 5,000 developers and 1,000 engineers. The cost of tickets to the conference will also remain the same.
