The Apple Watch has been on the market for a little over a year and by now you have probably noticed that your Digital Crown has started to stick. Now this may sound like a prank, but I guarantee this works, and it’s even listed in Apple’s own support document.
If you have the Nylon, Leather, or any other band material that will absorb water, you’ll want to disconnect your band.
Power down the Apple Watch by holding the side button
Turn your sink faucet to warm water
Run your Apple Watch under the warm water while spinning the Digital Crown for a minute
Dry off your Apple Watch and power it back on
The Digital Crown should now spin freely like a new device again!
*While the Apple Watch is considered water resistant, you are placing sensitive electronics under water, please proceed with caution. The Apple Post does not take responsibility for damaged devices or accessories due to improper handling.
