Video claims to show ‘iPhone SE 2’ with iPhone X design
A new video shared by Japanese site Macotakara, via Weibo, claims to show a working ‘iPhone SE 2’ that features a design practically identical to the iPhone X running what appears to be a version of iOS.
The short video (below) shows a device with a notch at the front, an edge-to-edge display, and a vertical rear camera in a body shaped similarly to the current iPhone SE. The device shown in the video appears to feature a matte-black rear and gloss edges.
While no solid claims have said Apple will continue their “SE” line, reports have suggested that the company may launch a new, 6.1-inch LCD iPhone later this year which could possibly replace the iPhone SE to become Apple’s low-cost iPhone handset.
China is known for producing fake devices and Apple look-alike Android clones. It’s highly likely that the video shared to Weibo is nothing but a fake, however, with the news that Apple is further expanding iPhone production in India, a country that primarily produces the iPhone SE, it’s possible Apple could be looking to pump life into the iPhone SE line after all.
