According to CNBC, Tim Cook has been spotted testing a prototype glucose monitor that’s connected to his Apple Watch. The report claims that the connected glucose monitor has been spotted being put through it’s paces by Tim around the Apple campus in Cupertino following reports that claim Apple is working incorporating a glucose sensor into the Apple Watch chassis.
It’s unclear if the mentioned glucose monitor is an Apple built piece of hardware of if it comes from a third-party company who are working in partnership with the tech giant.
Back in February when Tim Cook spoke with students at the University of Glasgow he is reported to of said that he has been testing a glucose monitor for a few weeks…
I’ve been wearing a continuous glucose monitor for a few weeks,” he said. “I just took it off before coming on this trip.
Cook explained that he was able to understand how his blood sugar responded to foods he was eating. He made modifications to keep his blood sugar more constant.
