Tim Cook “couldn’t be happier” with iPhone 8 sales
Speaking with CNBC after a visit to Apple’s retail store in Palo Alto, California on Friday, Tim Cook has said he “couldn’t be happier” with iPhone 8 sales, reporting that a number of stores had sold out of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus stock, with many other locations selling out of the LTE Apple Watch Series 3 models.
While Tim’s comments seem positive, the iPhone 8 appears to of drawn less of a crowd than any other iPhone release, with images online showing a very damp reception at the launch of the two new devices however, with pre-orders of the iPhone X starting late next month it’s not surprising that customers are holding off from parting with their money.

“Here’s what we’re seeing right now. The watch with LTE — the Series 3 Watch — we are sold out in so many places around the world. And we’re working really hard to meet demand. We’ve sold out of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus in some stores, but we’ve got good supply there. You can see what’s going on here this morning — I couldn’t be happier.”
